We are offering exciting opportunities for skilled synthetic organic chemists seeking a challenging career in isotope chemistry. Working as part of growing, multidisciplinary group successful candidates will be responsible for the synthesis and purification of isotopically labelled, biologically active compounds used in regulatory studies to support the development and registration of new products. Experience in handling radioisotopes would be an advantage but is not essential as a comprehensive training program will be provided and you will be supported by our experienced isotope chemists.

Job Description

Candidates will possess a broad understanding of organic reactions and a passion for working at the bench. You will be able to demonstrate a strong history of achievement and the ability to apply your practical skills to prepare a wide range of targets.  You will be able to work both independently and as a member of an interdisciplinary team to deliver results to tight deadlines. You will possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills combined with a strong customer-focused approach.

Qualifications

We are seeking applicants with a Ph.D. in synthetic organic chemistry or a first degree in chemistry with a minimum of one-year relevant industrial experience or placement within a synthetic organic chemistry environment.
