Selcia expands Radiosynthesis Capacity

Selcia is proud to announce the opening of a new radiochemistry laboratory bringing the radiosynthesis capacity up to 21 fume cupboards.

Selcia has recently opened a new radiochemistry laboratory with 7 additional fume cupboards increasing the total radiosyntrhesis capacity to 21 fume cupboards. The bank of 7 state-of-the-art stainless steel lined synthesis hoods was constructed during the first half of 2008 within a newly refurbished laboratory space on the Ongar site.

Following a strong increase in business during 2006 and 2007 this addition to Selcia's capacity became necessary to be able to continue the first class service Selcia's clients expect. A parallel recruitment campaign attracting highly qualified chemists both fresh from academia and from major pharmaceutical companies ensures Selcia has the man power do deliver the ever increasing workload of radiosynthesis.

This laboratory increases substantially the capacity of Selcia to offer a reliable and timely service of GMP concepts radiosynthesis to prepare 14-C material for human volunteer studies.
